Bell X1 have been announced for
the Oxegen Festival in July. The band have just finished a European tour with
Nada Surf and will be heading back to the US very soon to continue their
blossoming love affair with a whole new continent.

Dry County have just been confirmed for next monthÕs Oxegen
festival where they will headline the IMRO New Sounds Stage on Sunday 13th
July. They announced to packed crowd in Whelans last week that theyÕll be
taking a break to record their 2nd album but when they return
theyÕll have a brand new name!

The Dudley Corporation release a
new album, Year Of The Husband, this Friday 4 July on the US-based Absolutely Kosher label.
Their 3rd album was begun in December 2004 and, strangely considering
their first 2 releases were afforded 9 studio days between them(!), has taken
until now to be finished! ÒYes, the extra studio time does mean we sound like
Emerson, Lake and Palmer now!Ó frontman Dudley has commented.
The band are not long back from a European tour with Pinback and are keen to
get an Irish tour in the bag to co-incide with the release date of the new
album. They have already confirmed an album release celebration on 4 July in
Andrews Lane Theatre, Dublin.

Franz Ferdinand have been popping
their collective heads up for a bundle of UK dates over this month airing brand
new songs from their forthcoming album alongside classic crowd pleasers while

This year the festival returns to its spiritual home of Temple Bar, Dublin on
12/13/14 September across 5 venues. The international quotient this year will
be filled by a Scottish Invasion curated by one DominoÕs finest, Sons &
Daughters. Muzu.tv are also lending
their expertise with an HWCH TV channel and a free live video made for every
Irish band in the festival! And this yearÕs download chart will be sponsored by
Entertainment.ie.

Damien Rice returned from an
album writing return road trip from Dublin to Barcelona just in time to take
the stage as Special Guest to Leonard Cohen at 3 shows in Dublin. Damien will
also play solo in Reykjavik on 24 July as well as hitting IcelandÕs
Borgarfjordur Eystri festival (26 July) and the Traena Festival (9July) on a
group of IslandÕs in the Arctic Circle way north of Norway where he will
perform in a mountain cave 32m high and 40m deep!

At the centre of a whirlwind of frenzied interest She & Him (aka actress Zooey Deschanel and one-man band M.
Ward) release their debut album, Volume 1, on Domino on 18 July in Ireland (a single ÒThis

25 July). Born out of an initial duet between the two in 2006 the album
